Presenting and exporting a review
How to present a quarterly business review full screen in a client meeting, download it as a PDF or an editable PowerPoint, and restyle it with Claude.

Presenting shows a review one slide at a time in a clean full-screen view for the meeting with the client. Exporting downloads the same review as a PDF to print or a PowerPoint file to edit. Both are for the owner and reviewers of a review, and for anyone else who can use QBR Studio.
Before you start. The QBR Reporting module must be on and your role must be Administrator, Service Desk Manager or Customer Success. You can present a review in any status, and you can export it whenever it is not generating.
Present a review
- Open the review and select Present in the toolbar. You can also select the present icon on a row of the QBR Studio Home page.
- The presentation opens in a new browser tab, at the route
/qbrfollowed by the report's id and/present. It fills the window. - Press F or select Full screen to fill the whole screen. Press F again to leave it.
- Move through the slides with the keyboard, the buttons at the bottom or a click.
- Press N or select Notes to show your speaker notes for the current slide.
- Press Esc, or select Exit, to go back to the report. In full screen, the first Esc leaves full screen and the next one returns to the report.
On a touch screen, swipe left for the next slide and right for the previous one. The bar at the bottom shows where you are, such as 3 / 12, with previous and next buttons, Notes, Full screen and Exit, and a progress bar shows how far through the review you are.
Slides you hid from the client are left out. If the review has no slides, the page says This report has no slides to present yet. and links back to the report.
Speaker notes
The notes panel shows the notes you wrote under the slide in the review workspace, headed Speaker notes and the slide's title. If there are none it says No notes for this slide. Write notes in the workspace, as Editing a review explains. The notes are also exported to the PowerPoint file.
Record decisions while you present
Recommendation cards in the presentation have a Decide button while the recommendation is still open (not decided, or deferred). It becomes Manage once the recommendation is accepted, declined, in progress or completed. Select it to open a panel with the card's status, the chosen option, the decision so far and any HaloPSA item, then choose Accept, Defer, Decline, In progress, Completed or Reopen, or create a HaloPSA ticket or opportunity for an accepted recommendation. Add a note if you want to. A message on the screen confirms what was recorded. Only the owner, a reviewer or an administrator can record decisions. Recommendations and the decision log explains each action.
Presenting counts in the review's engagement
Opening a presentation counts as one presentation for the review, in any status. Opening it again within ten minutes, for example after a reconnect, counts once. The Presented figure is in the Engagement panel described in Review, publish and share with the client.
Download a PDF or a PowerPoint
Select Export in the workspace toolbar and choose a format.
Both formats leave out hidden slides. If something could not be carried over, such as an image that cannot be embedded, the page shows a message after the download that starts Exported with and the number of notes, followed by the notes. Read them before you send the file.
The client's own PDF and PowerPoint buttons on the published page give the same files; see Review, publish and share with the client.
Restyle the review with Claude
The Export menu has two ways to give a review a new look. Both make a copy: edits to the copy never come back into QBR Studio, and the client link keeps showing the approved review.
Design with Claude
Design with Claude asks Claude to build a designed PowerPoint from the approved review, keeping every number as reviewed. It is off by default.
Before you start. Two things must be in place:
- An administrator turns on Design with Claude on the AI tab of QBR settings, where you can also set the Claude model and a Design direction that is sent with every export. See QBR settings: CSAT sources, metrics and AI.
- Your organisation has its own Anthropic API key. A tenant administrator adds it under AI providers and models. Without a key the setting says so, and the export is unavailable.
The review must also be approved or published. Design with Claude refuses a draft, a review in review and a review with changes requested, and tells you to approve it first.
Before you use it, know what it sends. The review's content (the client's name, the numbers, the text and the speaker notes of the visible slides) goes to Anthropic with your organisation's own key. The export runs on Anthropic's code execution, which is not eligible for zero data retention, so Anthropic may keep the files for a limited time under its policy. Images and your logo are not sent; the download tells you to add them in PowerPoint. If your agreements with a client do not allow this, leave the feature off.
- Select Export, then Design with Claude…. The entry appears only when the feature is on and a key exists.
- Read the notice in the dialog.
- Select Send to Claude and download.
- Keep the tab open. Designing can take a few minutes, and the PowerPoint downloads when it is ready.
If Claude cannot finish, the page says why, for example that the key was refused or that the service is busy, and the regular PowerPoint export still works. Check every number in the result before you send it to the client.
Open in Claude Design
Open in Claude Design… helps you restyle a copy yourself. QuantumOps does not send anything to Anthropic for this.
- Select Export, then Open in Claude Design….
- Select Download PowerPoint (it restyles best, because text and charts stay editable) or Download PDF (when you only need a new look).
- Open Claude Design, or Claude Slides, at claude.ai and start a new design from the downloaded file.
- Ask for the change you want, for example: Restyle this deck in our brand colours. Keep every number and chart value exactly as it is.
Finish content changes and approval in QBR Studio first, then restyle the copy. Edits made in Claude Design stay there.
Every figure in the review comes from the metric library, and a restyle should never change one. Check the numbers after any restyle.
