Timeclock reports and exports
How to filter and read the punch history, see which device and IP address each punch came from, and export the timeclock, payroll period and projection files to CSV.

The timeclock reports show every punch your employees have made, with the device and IP address it came from, and let you export the history to a CSV file. Use them to answer what somebody actually recorded, and to check the data before you calculate a pay period.
Before you start: the Timeclock & Payroll module must be on, and you need the Administrator, Timeclock Admin or Payroll Admin role. Exporting a payroll period from the stand-alone Payroll Management page at /timeclock/payroll (not the sidebar entry of the same name, which opens the Admin Hub) needs the Administrator or Payroll Admin role.
Open the reports
There are two places, and they show the same punches.
- The Reports tab of the Admin Hub. Choose the Payroll Management entry in the left menu, then Reports. See The timeclock and payroll Admin Hub.
- A stand-alone page at
/timeclock/reports. No menu links to it, so open it by address.
The stand-alone page shows more: the exceptions total, and the IP address and notes of every punch.
Run a report on the Reports tab
The tab shows nothing until you apply filters.
- Under Report Filters, set the Start Date and End Date. They start at the last 14 days.
- Choose an Employee, or leave All Employees. The list has the active agents and, marked (Payroll), payroll employees who are not linked to an agent.
- Choose an Entry Type, or leave All Types: Clock In, Clock Out, Lunch Start, Lunch End, Break Start or Break End.
- Select Apply. Clear resets the filters and empties the table.
Three counters show the result: Employees, Total Hours and Entries. Below them, Timeclock Entries lists the punches, newest first. Choose Detailed for one row per punch, or Summary for one card per employee with their hours, clock-ins and clock-outs, lunch and break minutes, and net hours.
The table shows the first 100 entries and says so under the table: Showing first 100 of N entries. Export for full report. Export the report to see the rest.
Use the stand-alone Reports page
The stand-alone page loads the last 14 days as soon as you open it.
- Under Report Filters, set the Date Range, the Employee and the Entry Type.
- Select Apply Filters. Clear puts the filters back to the last 14 days and reloads.
- Read the four totals: Unique Employees, Total Hours, Total Entries and Exceptions. Exceptions counts the punches that resolved a punch exception. The totals follow the date range and the employee. They ignore the Entry Type filter, which changes the table only.
- Choose Detailed or Summary. Summary shows, for each employee, Total Hours, Days Worked and Entries.
The employee list on this page has active agents only. The table shows the first 100 entries and says Export to see all data. when there are more.
Read the entries
An empty IP Address is not a broken record. A punch made by a supervisor or from a chat command has none.
Where punches come from
Slack and Teams commands record only lunch and break punches, with the note Created via Slack command, Created via Slack/Override command or Created via Teams command. See Agent status commands. A supervisor's punches are covered in Supervising punches, exceptions and time off. Some supervisor actions are written as ordinary employee punches, and the exported file shows the source Employee for them: a clock-out recorded with Fix Manually (it is marked as resolving an exception), Force Clock Out Now for a payroll employee who is not an agent, and Force Clock Out on the stand-alone Supervisor page.
Export the timeclock report
Select Export Report on the Reports tab (it stays disabled until you have applied filters), or Export Full Report on the stand-alone page. Your browser saves a CSV file:
Timeclock_Report_20261001_20261015.csvfrom the Reports tab.Timeclock_Report_20261001_to_20261015.csvfrom the stand-alone page.
The file covers the date range and, when you chose an agent, that agent. If you chose an employee marked (Payroll) on the Reports tab, the file still contains every employee for the date range. Filter the file afterwards, or use the payroll wizard for that person. It always includes every entry type: the Entry Type filter changes the table only. Each punch is written with its time in your organisation's time zone and in UTC. The file has five sections:
This report takes off both lunch and breaks. Payroll takes off lunch only; see How pay is calculated.
The file reports punches. The overtime columns are a simple 40-hour split. Overtime and pay for payroll come from the calculated pay period.
Export a payroll period or a projection
- Pay period. On a period's row, select Export (on the Admin Hub Payroll tab, or on the stand-alone Payroll Management page at
/timeclock/payroll). The file is namedPayroll_followed by the period name and today's date, for examplePayroll_October_1-15_20261016.csv. Exporting sets the period's status to Exported. See Pay periods. - Projection. On the Projections tab, select Calculate, then Export. The file is named
Payroll_Projection_followed by the start and end dates. See Payroll projections.
The period's calculations view has its own Export button. It saves a summary with the same file name pattern and does not change the period's status.
