Chat with Qubit from a HaloPSA dashboard
How to open the ticket chat and the client chat from the QuantumOps dashboards in HaloPSA, what they already know and how they differ from the chat in the web app.

Two chats open from the QuantumOps dashboards inside HaloPSA: a ticket chat from the Ticket Dashboard and a client chat from the Client Dashboard. Each one already holds the ticket or the client, so you can ask about it straight away. Technicians and dispatchers use them while they work a ticket.
Before you start. Your administrator adds the Ticket Dashboard and Client Dashboard to HaloPSA as tabs; see Adding QuantumOps tabs to HaloPSA. The chats open from those tabs without a QuantumOps sign-in, so no QuantumOps role applies. They are not the chat in the QuantumOps web app; the table at the end shows what differs.
Open the ticket chat
- Open the ticket in HaloPSA and go to its QuantumOps Ticket Dashboard tab. See The Ticket Dashboard in HaloPSA.
- Select Chat with Qubit AI. The chat opens in a pop-up window. When the ticket has not been analysed yet, the dashboard offers Chat with Raw Data instead: the chat opens with the ticket as HaloPSA holds it, and Qubit's first message says Limited Context Mode, because the full analysis is not available. When an earlier analysis failed, the dashboard offers Chat Anyway, and the chat opens with what QuantumOps has stored for the ticket.
- Check what the chat is holding. The header reads Chat with Qubit and AI assistance for ticket # followed by the number. Below it, Ticket: shows the ticket summary, Client: the client and Category: the category. Qubit's first message repeats these so you can confirm it opened on the right ticket.
- Ask a question. Select one of the Quick questions: or type in the box (Ask about this ticket...):
- What's the main issue?
- Similar tickets
- Next steps
- Client history
- Wait for the answer. While Qubit works, the window says AI Assistant is thinking...
To close the window, select the close button at the top right.
Open the client chat
- Open the client in HaloPSA and go to its QuantumOps Client Dashboard tab. See The Client Dashboard.
- Select Chat with Qubit. The chat opens in a pop-up window.
- Check the strip under the header: Client:, Total Tickets: and Last Updated:.
- Select one of the Quick questions: or type in the box (Ask about this client...):
- Client overview
- Support patterns
- Risk analysis
- Technical analysis
Send a screenshot or a file
Use the paperclip beside the box, paste an image, or drop a file on the window. When files are on, the box reads Ask about this ticket, or paste a screenshot... (or Ask about this client, or paste a screenshot...). If the paperclip is missing, files are not enabled for your organisation. You can send images, PDF, text, log and CSV files, up to 10 MB each and 10 files in a conversation. See Files and charts in chat.
How it differs from the chat in the web app
For longer work, or anything that needs approval or your MCP sources, use Chat with Qubit in the web app or the Chat tab in the browser extension.
